It was my first styled shoot - for those who are not familiar with the term, and that might mean anyone not related to the wedding industry - a styled shoot is what it claims to be - a shoot that is styled. Think of a theme, put a look together - props, outfits, details - and on the way, collaborate with others and build some awesome relationships - sounds fun? - yes it is!
It has been almost a year since I have been a part of the Photography Stylistas group and it has been a wonderful group to share ideas, ask questions and learn from others in the industry. It was amazing how the shoot came together - starting from a blank sheet of paper and every one open to ideas. RM Champagne Salon was the perfect venue, and Elyse and Betsy from The Two Sisters Event Design help put it all together. Every little detail was thought through and a vision came into being.
In a real wedding we often do not have the time to savor the details. It was a luxury, and so much fun, to take your time to photograph every single accessory and corner. And working with a group of photographs often helps you understand what you can do differently - after all you are working in the same space, at the same time and yet perspectives can be so different.
A special shout out and thank you goes out to the other stylistas Christine, Jacqui, Kelly, Keren and Nikole.

It was not a real wedding but we were working with a real couple and that always lends to some very cute moments. Rachael and Tim looked gorgeous and so, so good together
