I met Aditi when she moved from Kansas - all ready to settle in to the big city called Chicago. Fast forward a few years, right around this time last year, I met Aaron at a friend's birthday dinner - and I shrieked -'but I have to photograph your wedding' (yes, I sometimes do that :) ) However, from a spring wedding in Chicago, the plans quietly moved to the big fat wedding in India - a three day party and gorgeous silks. If she felt weak in the knees just for that I wont blame her :)
To get the best of both worlds, there was going to be a church ceremony in the church Aaron has been going to since he was a kid and Aditi got her pretty white dress. Ceremony+some portraits - nothing elaborate on the photographic menu, but when Aditi asked me there was no way I was not going to do it. There was just one caveat to the story from my point of view - Aditi's dad is an awesome photographer and this is his daughter's wedding. It might be a simple ask compared to the Indian wedding but there was this loud nagging voice at the back of my head saying things I don't want to reveal on my photographic blog :)
Aditi and Aaron head out on Christmas day to India, along a with a 'few' friends and family. Now that's what I would call a party flight. Cant wait to see all the colors and celebrations coming up shortly!!
Ending with one of my favorites from the day - shot right after a quick stop at Starbucks. Not just because I love coffee but it was symbolic of how life is a combination of the big and small stuff . Wish you both love and happiness for all times to come.
